Report: Science in an Uncertain Millennium

The 2000 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

CAROL L. ROGERS

University of Maryland

More than 140 scientific symposia, a number of plenary and topical lectures, an award ceremony and other special events, poster sessions, and exhibits were only some of the activities that drew several thousands scientists, engineers, policymakers, and others interested in science, as well as hundreds of science journalists, to Washington, D.C., 17-22 February 2000, for the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Included in this report are some highlights of the meeting.
